Year 8 Enterprise Day
Read MoreOn Wednesday 4th March, our year 8s took part in National Enterprise Day. Throughout the day they developed their own product, brand, logo, marketing strategy, and social media competitions. In the afternoon they then had to showcase their ideas to the rest of the year group on stage. Our three judges couldn't choose just one winner, so they decided to merge two groups together and formed a new team that will compete in the National Finals.

You may be aware that Hilbre High School took the decision to close yesterday following a positive coronavirus case in Wirral.
Public Health England (PHE) have spoken to the school, assessed the risk and confirmed that there is currently no information to suggest that there is any increased health risk to any pupils, staff and families at this time, and therefore no public health reason to be closed at the current time.

Paris Trip 2020
Read MoreJust before the half term break one hundred and twenty-three of our pupils travelled by coach and ferry to Lésigny near Paris. Everyone was very excited to arrive in France. We arrived at our accommodation ‘Chateau de Grande Romaine’ where we enjoyed settling in and having an evening meal.

The piece needed to explore typical issues teenagers from around the country have identified are issues they face and the impact this can have on their mental health.
RE students visit two iconic places of worship
Read MoreOne is an architecturally striking, inspired landmark on the Liverpool skyline fondly known as Paddy’s Wigwam and the other is a Grade 1 listed Victorian building with elegant and well preserved features and some of our GCSE pupils at St John Plessington Catholic College were fortunate to visit both. On Monday 27th January and Monday 3rdFebruary 2020, the RE department took two separate groups of GCSE students to visit the Metropolitan Cathedral of Christ the King as well as the Princes Road Synagogue in Liverpool. These trips were organised as part of the RE Curriculum with a view to provide more enriching learning experiences for pupils preparing for their GCSE exams.
