    On the evening of the 26th of November 2019 St John Plessington Catholic College celebrated the achievements of over 130 students who have achieved a Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.  We were joined by Dr Ian Lovegrove who has run scientific expeditions in Antarctica and Kevin Rogers who is the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Manager for the Western Sub Region.

  • Krakow Trip November 2019

    Krakow Trip November 2019


    Very early on the morning of Tuesday 19th November Year 12 pupils from SJP and SMCC departed from Liverpool John Lennon to Krakow.  Once we had arrived and settled in the hotel we set off for the first of our visits.  This was a walking tour of the Jewish Quarter of Krakow.  The Jewish population of Krakow is not very big since WW2 however they do have several synagogues which we visited and a selection of lovely restaurants tucked away in a beautiful square of the Jewish Quarter.  Pupils also had the opportunity to try some traditional Polish food as we went to a street market for lunch.  Later on we had a tour of Schindler's Factory Museum which has been devoted to the wartime experiences in Krakow under the five-year Nazi occupation during the World War II.

    China 2019


    This October, Pupils from St John Plessington Catholic College, accompanied by Mr Jones and Miss Chesters travelled over 5000 miles to Eastern China. The trip was designed so that pupils would act as a delegation from SJP and visit our sister school in the city of Taicang, Taicang Number 2 Middle School.

    Beauty & the Beast Performance


    SJP were proud to present Disney's Beauty and the Beast this week. With strong characters and lively storytelling, pupils of SJP kept audience members enchanted with dazzling vocals and captivating dialogue as they told the story of Belle and her journey of self discovery as she attempts to rescue her Mother from the claws of the Beast. Pupils from all year groups took to the stage and stunned with their polished performances.

    On Thursday 7th November two Yr 7/8 girls teams represented SJP for a second time at Bebington High, but this time hosted by Tranmere Rovers Football Club. The girls yet again were brilliant in representing the school by showing respect and professionalism as they competed against a host of other schools during the night.
