I write to you following yet another busy half term here at SJP. We have ended this week with our amazing production of Grease and a visit from Chris Lubbe. Today our Eco club raised over £170 for the earthquake appeal through a breaktime cake sale.

I am writing to inform you that the School Age Immunisation Service will be offering Diphtheria, Tetanus, Polio and Meningitis ACWY vaccinations at your child’s school on Tuesday 7th March.

The NEU union has declared a further day of strike action. I write to give you notice that the next strike date will be on Tuesday 28th February 2023. The strike is happening because of a national dispute between the unions and the government over teachers’ pay and conditions and not because of any issues at our school.
Due to the impact this will have on the number of staff who will be in school on this day, I am writing to inform you that SJP will be closed to all pupils in year groups 7- 10. Please do not send your child into school on this day. We will, however, remain open to all pupils in Key Stage 5 (Y12/13). Yr12 Option Block B trial exams also take place as scheduled.
After an enjoyable coach journey down to Watford, Media & Film students were welcomed to Leavesdon Studios by an impressive sight – an active film set! Huge cranes, lights, reflectors and green screens loomed over the fence where they were filming House of the Dragon Season 3! However, destination was set to Hogwarts so off they apparated to a Warner Bros. Studio Tour classroom for a workshop on Foley Sound...

Year 11 Trial Examinations – Thursday 16th February 2023 - Friday 10th March 2023
I am writing to inform you that your daughter/son will be taking trial exams beginning Thursday 16th February 2023. These are part of our examination preparation after significant disruption to learning and routines during Key Stage 3 & 4.
