St John Plessington Catholic College

Year 8 Enterprise Day

‘Inspirational Learning Group’ are visited SJP on Wednesday 14 March to work with Year 8. They will deliver a series of workshops based on developing employability skills – these include team building, communication, marketing and presentation skills.

The activities will be based around a ‘Dragons’ Challenge’, where pupils have to devise a new product for a company that would be pro table and sustainable in today’s marketplace. Their task this year is to design a new real life activity for the company called KidZania based in London aimed at 11-14-year-olds. This is an indoor activity theme park where pupils get a realistic insight into the adult world by taking part in a choice of ‘jobs’ which earn them points to take part in other activities.

The winning team will represent the College at the National Enterprise Challenge in the summer term with Dragons’ Den star Theo Paphitis. If you wish to  nd out more, please look at their website www.nationalenterprisechallenge.co.uk
