On Friday we will welcome Alison McGovern, MP for Wirral South, to SJP to take part in our first Oracy Conference Day. Year 7A will spend the day learning about what Oracy is, and how it can be used to communicate effectively.
On Friday we will welcome Alison McGovern, MP for Wirral South, to SJP to take part in our first Oracy Conference Day.
Year 7A will spend the day learning about what Oracy is, and how it can be used to communicate effectively. Friday’s Conference will focus specifically on the Physical and Linguistic strands of Oracy, and pupils will work in groups to prepare a speech.
A pupil interview with Ms McGovern in the afternoon will be followed by a Q&A session, during which pupils will have the opportunity to ask her about her role as a Member of Parliament.
