On Tuesday 13th November 2018, SJP collaborated with 'Read Now, Write Now' to commemorate the WW1 centenary.
Year 8 pupils learnt more about the local poet and soldier, Wilfred Owen, and his experiences of war. The workshops ran for two hours and pupils worked hard to produce their own collections of poems to honour the sacrifice of the soldiers and their families. The poems will be published within an anthology, these will be available to view early next year! Thank you to our pupils who showed compassion, respect and great maturity throughout the workshops and helped make it such a successful, positive and valuable experience!
