As you know, we had planned to gather our Year 13 pupils this Friday, to celebrate their SJP journey in a liturgy, followed by a celebratory barbecue. However, in light of the recent rise in infection rates in the North West, and the delay in reducing social distance guidelines, we have had to take the decision to postpone the event.

We have organised another ski trip for January 2022. The next ski trip will be to Alpe D’Huez in France and will take place between Saturday 8th January and Saturday 15th January 2022. This has been a very busy term in which our students and teachers have had to work in new, innovative and flexible ways. Our Year 11 and Year 13 students have risen to the challenge of a varied and new system of assessments in preparation for GCSE and A’Level grades, we have been very proud of them and their commitment to their studies.
The past year has been very challenging, however our Year 11 students have continued to amaze us with their resilience, motivation and determination. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our Year 11 students for being fabulous and for bringing so much character and joy to the SJP community. It’s been a real pleasure to watch students grow and flourish over the years. We hope that the SJP experience has prepared them for the next stage of their journey and that they will treasure the memories made.
We will look forward to welcoming back students to sixth form in September and we send our best wishes to those embarking upon pastures new.

You will hopefully have heard the encouraging news that from Monday 17th May 2021 there are changes in some of the current restrictions in place in secondary schools to reduce the transmission of the virus. I thought you would find it helpful for me to clarify what the changes are but also what remains in place.
