I am writing to inform you that your daughter/son will be taking end of year assessments during the week beginning Monday 21st June 2021. We understand that there has been significant disruption to learning and routines during this academic year and these assessments will be key in establishing good routines and importantly in identifying areas for improvement in learning. All assessments will take place during lesson time.

In preparation for the assessments, all pupils in Year 7, Year 8 and Year 9 will receive a timetable for their assessments. I would like to stress the importance of full attendance and the need to be punctual to school to avoid missing any assessments.

I have attached an updated, student friendly, copy of the assessment timetable. Students have been given a paper copy of the attached timetable. We would ask you to encourage your child to revise thoroughly before these assessments.

All students have been reminded of the following expectations:

● Full preparation/revision ahead of assessments

● 100% attendance

● Bring the correct equipment for each assessment including calculators, where necessary

We are very proud of our students and their positive attitude towards their learning, despite such difficult and unsettling times due to COVID and we wish them well in these assessments.
