On Monday 21st October Textiles and Art 6th form students visited Southport's Atkinson Art Gallery.
The principle exhibition they visited was a collection of Vivienne Westwood's clothing. Pupils were able to see why her designs have made her one of the most iconic designers of the 20th Century. The gallery also had painting exhibitions and collections of historical clothing and graphic artwork from the local area which we visited. Pupils were able to gather inspiration to take back to their coursework. Students also had the chance to visit the local area to see the architecture and take photos of the surroundings.
The day was finished off with lunch out where pupils experienced a restaurant environment and had the chance to reflect on the day.
