Paris Trip 2022

Shortly before our half term break some of our year 8, 9 and 10 travelled to Paris on our annual trip. It was fantastic to be able to travel abroad again after such a long period of time and all pupils fully threw themselves into the experiences that were on offer.

We stayed in Chateau de Grande Romaine which is located in Lésigny in the South- Eastern Suburbs of Paris. On our first evening, after a long coach and ferry journey, everyone was excited to arrive at the Chateau and settle in.

After dinner some pupils opted for their choice of evening activity which included a crêpe making class and team building activities. Saturday was our first full day and pupils woke up early, keen to have breakfast and take part in their first excursion.

Excursions this day included a river Seine cruise, a visit to the Louvre to see the Mona Lisa amongst many other famous pieces, climbing up to the second floor of the Eiffel Tower and taking in the views, climbing the 284 step spiral staircase of the Arc de Triomphe, taking the high speed lift right to the top of Tour Montparnasse and a visit to 'Cité des sciences et d'industrie' an interactive science museum in Paris.

Sunday included visits to the Stade de France, Fontainebleu, Brie market, Sacre Coeur and Montmartre and finished with a fantastic disco and karaoke! On the Monday, sadly our last day, we were all very excited to visit Disneyland Paris, where they were celebrating their 30th anniversary with lots of extra parades and entertainment.

We stayed for the entire day visiting the Walt Disney Studios park in the morning and finishing with the main Disneyland Park in the afternoon. It was a beautiful sunny day and the perfect ending to a wonderful trip in which pupils were outstanding ambassadors for our school.
