Jacob's Trip

In late April, Jacob and his family set off on a 2500 mile round trip to a refugee camp in Žilina, Slovakia. They delivered 3.5tonnes/£16,000 in aid to those seeking refuge.

It was a long drive but nothing compared to the conditions they witnessed. Many Ukrainians, including workers from the Mariupol plant, had just arrived in Žilina after weeks of trying to escape and many had to leave family and friends behind.

When Jacob and his family arrived at the Žilina camp, they were told that there is a waiting for simple items including backpacks/suitcases. There are no words to describe it!

The SJP Community thanks you! We are proud to have you as a pupil!
