6-Jan-22 Letter from the Headteacher

Dear Families

It has been a pleasure to welcome all year groups back to school this week. We will have conducted more than 1600 tests by the end of the week, and our students have been a credit to themselves, their families and our school.

Please see below a number of important points/updates from the first couple of days:

Please ensure that your son/daughter has a face covering/mask for use in school. I would ask that they have two in school, should they need to replace/lose a mask.

As you are aware, we are having a new build classroom block on the school site. Due to this, we have had to make significant changes to our fire evacuation preocedures, including closing the school gates from 08:40 to 15:15 daily. Please note, you will only be able to access the site via the pedestrian entrance at the front of school.

Due to staffing issues caused by Covid-19, there will be no canteen provision available before school or at breaktimes until further notice. We are working hard to resolve this situation and I will keep you informed of any changes. Lunchtime provision will continue with different times for all year groups. Please make sure that your son/daughter has a snack for morning break as they will not be able to purchase anything in school.

I will update you further at the end of this week, but in the meantime, many thanks for your support and co-operation.

Yours sincerely

Maria Sharratt

Headteacher
