St John Plessington Catholic College

23-Apr-21 Letter to all Parents/Carers from the Headteacher

Dear Parents and Carers

We have been made aware of recent posts on social media in relation to some incidents that have taken place over the past week. Some of the posts are related to concerns about bullying.

I would like to make it clear that we do not tolerate bullying in any of its forms and I will deal with any incidents that are reported to me in a swift and robust manner.

Can I ask that if any one has any concerns that they feel are unresolved, please contact me directly via headteacher@stjohnplessington.com with details.

My commitment to the wellbeing of all students is my highest priority. I will accept nothing but the highest standards from everyone in our school to ensure all our young people are safe, happy and able to thrive both personally and academically. Where students fall short of this, we will deal with it as we have over the last week.

As a new Headteacher from the start of this year, my door is always open to parents. I want to actively seek the views of all those in the school so we can learn and continue to move forward as an organisation. As we emerge from the disruption of lockdown, this is more important than ever so please get in touch.

We have a wonderful community at SJP with dedicated staff and incredible pupils and I look forward to sharing with you the exciting things that are to come for your children. In the meantime, please get in touch if you would like to discuss any concerns or indeed ideas of how we can grow together.

Yours sincerely

Ms M Sharratt

Headteacher
