St John Plessington Catholic College celebrates excellent results today for A-level students with 42% of students achieving A*-B grades, 72% achieving A*-C and a 98% pass rate for all students (A*-E).

St John Plessington Catholic College celebrates excellent results today for A-level students with 42% of students achieving A*-B grades, 72% achieving A*-C and a 98% pass rate for all students (A*-E).

These results show the continued success of SJP in preparing students exceptionally well for their next stage in life, with increased numbers successfully gaining places at their first choice university.  We are very proud of our students and their 100% record of success in the UCAS process.

Amongst those celebrating were:

Hanan Ajay – A, A, A, A who will study Medicine at the University of Liverpool;

Mark Cain – A, A, B who will study Ancient History at the University of Liverpool;

Peter Doogan – A, A, B who will study Chemical Engineering at Edinburgh University;

Charlotte Head – A*, A, B who will study Spanish & English Literature at the University of Leeds;

Connie Hill – A, A, C who will study Criminology & Sociology at the University of Liverpool;

Rebecca Hill – A*, A, B who will study Mathematics at the University of Liverpool;

Lachlan Hughes – A*, A, A who will study English & Philosophy at the University of Leeds;

Beth Wiggins – A, B, B who will study Philosophy & Politics at Queen's University.

Head Teacher, Mr Tom Quinn, commented: "It’s been another great year for A Level results at SJP- congratulations to all students on their achievements, to the teachers who inspire them and parents who support them.  I wish the students every success in their well chosen paths. The Sixth Form at SJP is proven in delivering successful results in both academic and vocational subjects and is continuing to be very popular.”
