    The Small Hours Production


    On Tuesday 9th and Wednesday 10th of March 2019, a mixture of students from years 9-13 performed The Small Hours by Katharine Soper. This is part of the nationwide National Connections Festival commissioned by the National Theatre in London. On Tuesday evening, they were privileged to welcome a representative from the National Theatre, Alex Thorpe, who was blown away by the talent of our students in the play. Directors, Ms Richards and Miss Donley, were extremely proud of what the students achieved in the process.

  • The Small Hours

    The Small Hours


    Earlier this year, the Performing Arts department was accepted onto the National Theatre Connections Festival.  The programme provides schools, colleges and youth groups with the opportunity to rehearse and present a new play written by a professional writer and to perform at a home venue and at a regional theatre.  We are currently in the process of rehearsing the play, The Small Hours by Katherine Soper and are very excited to be performing at SJP next week and subsequently at Home Theatre, Manchester in April.

    Paris Trip


    During the half term breakone hundred and thirteen of our pupils travelled by coach and ferry to Lésignynear Paris. Everyone was very excited to arrive in France. We arrived at our accommodation ‘Chateau de Grande Romaine’ where we enjoyed settling in, having an evening meal and participating in the evening activities.

Science and gender equality are both vital for the achievement of the internationally agreed development goals, including the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Over the past 15 years, the global community has made a lot of effort in inspiring and engaging women and girls in science. Yet women and girls continue to be excluded from participating fully in science.
