As we enter a new term, please can I take this opportunity to remind you of our policy regarding taking family holidays during term time.
In line with current guidance, SJP will not grant any leave of absence for family holidays during term time unless there are exceptional circumstances. Please note ‘exceptional circumstances’ do not include a situation where parents choose to take pupils out of school to fit in with their work-related holiday dates. If parents believe that their circumstances meet the ‘exceptional’ criteria, please put your request in writing to the Head Teacher at least one month in advance of the date. Please use our Application for Leave of Absence form on our website listed under Parental Documents. An unauthorised holiday in term time may result in an Education Penalty Notice being issued.
