12-Jul-21 Important Message for Yr 13

Dear Parent/Carer

As you know, we had hoped to gather our Year 13 pupils this week for their rearranged liturgy, followed by a celebratory barbecue. However, in light of the continued rise in infection rates in the North West, and the delay in reducing social distance guidelines, we have had to take the sad decision to cancel the event in school. However, we will send this out virtually, via Google Classroom, so that all of our pupils can spend some time watching and reflecting upon their SJP journey.

We will be in touch with your son/daughter via Google Classroom early this week to let them know when it will be posted on their year group classroom. Can I ask you to remind them to keep checking their year group page for notifications please?

We understand our pupils will be disappointed, as are we, but we are very much looking forward to seeing them on Results Day on 10th August 2021, between 8.30am and 10.00am. During this time we will provide breakfast style refreshments and hope that our pupils will use the time to gather as a year group for one last time and say their goodbyes.

In the meantime, we would like your child to return any College property, such as text books, fobs and locker keys in their possession. The College will not issue exam certificates to any student owing College property, and will be obliged to recover the costs of any textbooks/laptops that are not returned to us.

We hope our pupils will plan to join us at SJP on 10th August and we look forward to seeing them at this time. Please do not hesitate to contact us at the College, should your son/daughter require any support in their future plans during this transitional period.

Kind regards

Ms Maria Sharratt
