The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award programme at SJP enjoyed another wonderful celebration evening last week. We were joined by special guests Her Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant of Merseyside, Alex Hay and Kevin Rogers, all of whom were impressed by achievements of our pupils.
Forty kids, a four century year old house and lots of arts and crafts. What could possibly go wrong? Well, thanks to the fabulous staff and facilities of Ingestre Hall, Stafford, absolutely nothing as the students of both St. John Plessington and St. Mary’s Catholic College made full, creative use of the state-of-the-art facilities on offer for three days and two nights.
We are delighted to welcome Jonathan Dugdale into SJP to share some of his expertise on Chinese culture and history with our Y7 students, including our MEP cohort.
On Thursday 10/01/2019 the Year 7 and 8 girls football team represented Tranmere Rovers FC at the EFL northwest regional finals girls cup at Stoke City FC.
On the 9th of January a group Year 10 girls were invited to attend a Girls in Maths Day at the Department of Mathematical Sciences, Liverpool University.
