    On Thursday 16th October, a small group of Year 9 pupils visited the University of Liverpool for a University 'taster day', to find out more about the fantastic opportunities available, and the support which can be offered to students as this fantastic University. At SJP we aspire for our pupils to have a 'choice-filled life', and it was pleasing to hear the pupils so positive about their University experience.

    Liverpool Physics Olympics


    Eight year 12 physicists travelled to Liverpool University to take part in the annual Liverpool Physics Olympics on Saturday 13th October. The competition involved 32 North West schools and colleges who each had to complete five different physics-related challenges plus a Fermi quiz.

    No Pens Day 2018


    On Wednesday 3rd October we joined 6000 schools across the country to participate in the Communication Trust’s ‘No Pens Day’ event. As part of our commitment to developing Oracy skills, both teachers and pupils put their pens down for a whole day to allow lessons to be focused on speaking and listening tasks. These ranged from discussion and group work tasks to presentations and created a fantastic buzz of enthusiastic learning around the College.
