Three A Level RE students participated in an A Level Masterclass Conference at the Friend's Meeting House, Manchester on Friday.
The event was run by Academy Conferences, and Speakers such as Professor Keith Ward - 'Regius Professor Emeritus of Divinity at Oxford, and formerly professor of the history and Philosophy of Religion at Kings College London - delivered a lecture on 'Ethical frameworks:
Tim Mawson, lecturer tutor and At Peter's College, Oxford discussed 'What is the meaning of life?' Our own Natalie Cannell contributed to the debate, arguing that belief in God is routed in personal faith, not 'rational, philosophical' arguments. She bravely asked Dr Mawson why do we need to 'rationalise' belief in God?
