St John Plessington Catholic College

Sixth Form

Sixth Form study has to be challenging to prepare you for life at university and the workforce, but it is also enjoyable. There is no better place to be with your friends, celebrating your success together.

The next two years should be some of the best years of your life; providing you with memories to last a lifetime. SJP has an excellent reputation and the Sixth Form plays a central part in the continuing success of the College.Sixth Form students are involved in every aspect of College life and help make the College an enriching, vibrant, high achieving and supportive community.

As a Catholic College every decision we make and everything we do places the needs of the individual student first. We are totally committed to providing the very best education we can offer – Academic, Spiritual and Extra-Curricular. If you are a current student at SJP you know the teachers here will go that extra mile for you but don’t be fooled into thinking Sixth Form life is just “more of the same”. Whilst the fundamental ingredients which make us an “Outstanding” College are still present, Sixth Form life is very different.

You will be given greater privileges and responsibilities both for your own education and the well being of others. You will be taught in smaller groups;have more self directed study time and working towards becoming a highly successful, capable and independent learner.Throughout the two years you will receive the very best pastoral and academic support possible.
