On Friday 19th October 2018, two hundred and seventy, year seven students along with their Form Tutors, College Staff, Parents and Carers, gathered together in St Anne’s Church in Rock Ferry to celebrate our Year Seven Mass of Welcome.
The Theme for our Mass, celebrated by Fr. Bernard was, “Aspire to be more” The theme was chosen to mark the canonisation of one of our House Patrons, Oscar Romero by Pope Francis on Sunday 14th October 2018 in Rome. St Oscar Romero great challenge was that we should be a community who “Aspire not to have more, but to be more.” During the journey in our college family, we want our student to explore just how they can strive to “Be more” in their lives.
It was an exciting time for our students as they walked together to and from St Anne’s Church, while also giving a visible witness of our faith to others in our local community.
