SJP celebrates continued success at A’ level.

St John Plessington Catholic College celebrates excellent results today for A-level students with 48% of students achieving A*-B grades, 75% achieving A*-C and a 98% pass rate for all students (A*-E).

These results show the continued success of SJP in preparing students exceptionally well for their next stage in life, with increased numbers successfully gaining places at their first choice university.  We are very proud of our students and their 100% record of success in the UCAS process.

Amongst those celebrating were:

Ailin Anto – A*, A, A who is going on to study Medicine at Imperial College, London.

Susannah Campbell -  A, A, B who is going on to study Microbiology at University of Glasgow.

Kristina Evans  - A*, A, B who is going on to study English and Philosophy at University of Liverpool

Ellie Mulhare – A, A, B who is going on to study Fashion Design at Manchester Metropolitan University.

Jonathan Nield – A, B, B who is going on to study Spanish and French at Queen’s, Belfast

Maria Nielsen Scott – A*, A*, A who is going on to study Medicine at University of Oxford

Ellen Peters – A*, A, A who is going on to study Medicine at Unversity of Brighton and Sussex.

Joshua Pointon – A, A, B who is going on to study Chemical Engineering at Edinburgh.

Megan Taylor-Haywood – A*, A, B who is going on to study English Literature and Philosophy at University of Newcastle.

Executive Head Teacher, Mr. Tom Quinn, commented: "In spite of the changes to assessment at A’Level, it’s been another great year for results at SJP- congratulations to all students on their achievements, to the teachers who inspire them and parents who support them.  I wish the students every success in their well chosen paths. The Sixth Form at SJP consistently delivers excellent results in both academic and vocational subjects and is continuing to be very popular.”
