Faith in Action award

"Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth" 1 John 3:18

At SJP we have a number of pupils involved in the Faith in Action Award. The Faith in Action Award encourages young people through recognising, rewarding and celebrating their active faith lived out through service and reflection.

The Award helps them connect their life and faith in a tangible manner. In journeying through the Award, young people should experience a deepening of their relationship with God and find themselves exploring that relationship through reflection.

It is hoped that through their relationship and action, others will see God's love through them.

Faith is a gift from God; He invites all of us to deepen our relationship with Him. Through the Faith in Action Award, we aim to enable young people to respond to that invitation in active faith through service to others and reflection on that service.

The Faith in Action Award rewards young people's active service to others in their local and wider community. Young people accrue credits of service and reflect on that service in the context of the teachings of the Catholic Church throughout their award journey.

“It is good to see many young people in our Shrewsbury Diocese engaging with the national initiative “Faith in Action.” I am grateful to our Diocesan Youth Mission Team for supporting you to so live your faith. May your participation lead you to discover how our Catholic faith is always lived from prayer which flows into action!”
